In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top virtual pet applications on the iOS platform in South Africa showed varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

My Cat – Virtual Pet Games from APPSYOULOVE LTD experienced significant growth in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads surged from about 27K at the start of the quarter to 278K by the end. Revenue also saw an upward trajectory, peaking at approximately $455 in the week of December 23. Active users increased steadily, reaching 568K by the end of December.

Pokémon Sleep showed a fluctuating revenue pattern, starting at $138 and ending the quarter at $257. However, weekly downloads remained minimal throughout the period, with no significant spikes. Active users showed a slight decline from 203K to 209K by the quarter's end.

Dino Fun - Games for kids by Avocado Mobile Inc maintained a consistent performance. Weekly revenue reached a high of $230 at the end of November, while downloads peaked at 97K in mid-December. Active users consistently hovered around the 370K mark, showing a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.
